Dillon Francis Releases 80’s Movie Themed Music Video – [Watch]

Dillon Francis is one of those artists that transcends genre – he’s got his hands in comedy, videography, tomfoolery, and beyond. His newly released collaboration with BabyJake, titled “Touch,” is both catchy and endearingly goofy, as to be expected from Francis. The video is a cross between “Risky Business” and “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off’,” taking the “playing hooking” and “lazy day” concepts, merging them, and drawing intuitive parallels to quarantine boredom. The face masks, pants-less karaoke, and pool lounging? All unspoken cultural emblems of social distancing.

This isn’t the first collaboration from BabyJake and Francis. The duo first joined forces for “You Do You” in early April of this year, which also featured BabyJake’s relaxing vocals. Billboard, super hype over the track, gave its praise by saying it was “one of [Dillon Francis’s] best tracks to date.” According to BabyJake, both him and Francis were heavily influenced by Majid Jordan’s self-titled project, the current times, and really wanted to create something relatable. Hopefully, Francis and BabyJake will continue their streak and put out tracks like this, relatable bumps for everyone in quarantine.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
