Mindchatter Drops Existential New EP Ahead of North American Tour

Mindchatter has released his newest EP, ‘This Is A Reminder That You Are Not Behind Your Face’ before He Kicks Off North American tour.

Mindchatter’s newest EP, ‘This Is A Reminder That You Are Not Behind Your Face’, has been released today and features five forward-thinking tracks, including three never-before-heard songs.

With help from the Foreign Family Collective, a record label founded by ODESZA, the EP brings a new light to Mindchatter’s discography. This album is a testament to the ideas that we have about our own identities and what makes us question our existence inside our bodies.

The brand new tracks, “Simple Economics,” “Loony Bin,” and “Dopamine Detox,” are each a piece to the puzzle to ‘This Is A Reminder That You Are Not Behind Your Face,’ which comments on the ideas of non-dual teachings – a concept Mindchatter has expressed interest in. The EP is intertwined with the idea that in life, you feel interconnectedness with everyone and everything around you, and the EP surely is a reflection of that awareness.

“Brain Pills” is one of the two tracks that were released early, giving fans a sneak peek into the story behind this EP, the feeling of hyperawareness of your own identity. The second track featured on the album is “Cash” released in November 2023 with Emmit Fenn. This is the second track the two have collaborated on, the first being “Hips” released in 2022.

Not included in the album but recently dropped in January was Mindchatter’s remix of Poolsides’s, “Ride With You” – a track he elevated and made his own by infusing his vocals with Ben Browning’s in a funky manner.

Mindchatter kicks off his biggest tour to date, ‘A Chorus Of Monologues’ on February 8th, 2024. He will be debuting his new music as well as an entirely new live set while hitting some cities and venues he has never played before. It has just been announced that Familiar Faces will be the supporting act on this tour, cementing it as his tour debut. My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists are Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Disclosure, Dom Dolla and Fred Again.. :)
