Supermodel Heidi Klum Joins Forces with Tiesto to Revitalize an 80s Classic

Heidi Klum has blossomed into the music industry with a remake of a classic rock song and has put her own EDM twist on it.

German model Heidi Klum has made a remake of the classic 1983 rock song “Sunglasses at Night” and teamed up with Tiesto as the producer of it. The remake was released on January 26 and even includes a music video starring the model. Klum reinvented the song with her voice and in the first line she says, “Okay everyone get your sunglasses out.”

Klum announced the new version of “Sunglasses at Night” on Instagram and the post said, “My new song SUNGLASSES AT NIGHT produced by the one and only @tiesto is out today. Keep dreaming kids and don’t let anyone tell you what you can and cannot do.” The 50-year-old model said she wanted to venture into music because she has a wide range of interests outside of modeling and purely just because it was a fun idea.

Specifically, Klum said she loves a lot of different things other than just modeling or sitting on America’s Got Talent. This includes painting, designing her whole life, coming up with crazy Halloween costume ideas, being a creative person, and that music was always a part of that.

Tiesto said that it felt natural to produce the song for Klum and that it was such a great experience working with not only a friend but also a professional. Along with that you never know exactly how a project is going to turn out but he loved how the remake of “Sunglasses at Night” came out.

Klum is also a fan of going out a lot and said she goes out more now than she did when she was 20 years old. She is also a fan of Burning Man and explained it is her favorite festival because of how free-spirited it is.

The original “Sunglasses at Night” is by Corey Hart released 40 years ago and can be easily recognized by many people as one of the most popular songs from the 80s. Klum and Tiesto’s version keeps the same overall baseline of the track with some modern undertones.
