Mau P Worked for ‘Years’ Before Reaching Success in the Music Industry 

Mau P has opened up about his journey and success in the music industry after years of work in a recent Instagram post.

From the outside, it may seem that some artists have overnight success. But, Mau P has let fans in on a little secret. In a recent Instagram post, the thriving artist has opened up about his journey through the difficult world that is the music industry. More importantly, he shows the challenges that come with choosing a path in the arts. Certainly, reminding everyone of the years of hard work that led to Mau P to his current success. 

The New Year began with the artist reflecting on the craziest that was 2023 for him. His Instagram post begins by acknowledging the common absence of genuine advice and context in the music industry. Ultimately, it emphasizes that beyond the glamorous front, success in this industry roots in determination. 

He even notes that fans who may have discovered him through the huge hit “Drugs from Amsterdam,” may not know the full story. He states “If u know me because of drugs from Amsterdam u might think I’ve spawned out of nowhere and I have a secret hack… truth is I’ve had my skin in the game for a while and I’ve been trying to make this thing work for YEARS… I could never believe why it wasn’t working for me and why i saw others succeed… the one thing I did was I kept going at it from all angles and I’m trying to tell u that u should too… u can actually do all of this too the only trick is to not stop” 

From this Instagram post, fans get a glimpse into the industry and Mau P’s journey through the years. The post certainly has a message. Success is attainable but you must be willing to put in the effort. With over 5 million Spotify subscribers certainly  Mau P is doing something right. Next, he shows his love and support for anyone reading. He encourages aspiring musicians not to be discouraged by setbacks, emphasizing the importance of persistence and approaching the journey from different angles. 

In 2023, Mau P broke a ton of firsts. With his first huge festivals, topping charts over and over, and overall gaining popularity, this was his year. Also, let’s not forget about the multiple number-one tracks on three different 1001Tracklist charts. To close out his post, he expresses appreciation for the overwhelming support from fans.
