Eli Brown Continues Hot Streak with “Diamonds On My Mind”

We have “Diamonds on our mind” as Eli Brown drops THE highly anticipated new single on Friday, August 25th.

Fans have been waiting on bated breath for Eli Brown’s new single, “Diamonds On My Mind” to drop. This elusive song of the summer has been featured in sets from Green Velvet, Dom Dolla, MK, John Summit, and Chris Lorenzo. Not to mention rinsed and repeated throughout all of Eli Brown’s sets from Space to Tomorrowland.

Riding the high from his spring release, “Be The One,” that took over the airwaves at EDC LV, Eli Brown does it again with this new imprint available on all streaming platforms on Friday, August, 25th. The addicting bassline almost urges you to make the nastiest bass face, we won’t judge if there is a moderate amount of Jersey Shore fist-bumping involved either. The beat almost begs for it.

In his signature type, which features a variety of capitalized and uncapitalized letters, Brown has been teasing this release and announcement for weeks. Brown basically has fans eating out of his hands right now for music and shows, and we are one of them.

It is almost impossible not to sing along to “Diamonds on my mind / I’m freakin I’m freakin all night / Always on the grind / Look at me look at me now.” The lyrics have been stuck in my head for weeks and I’m not complaining.

I think the buzz surrounding this drop also goes to show the power that social media has on the industry. Although Eli Brown was very much teasing this song, it was appreciated. His interactions with fans on Twitter have been filled with sass and wit to make this release even more exciting. Almost like a game of “Will he or won’t he?” Eli Brown did a phenomenal job at garnering excitement and anticipation, a talent that sometimes can get lost as DJs and producers gain more recognition.

The clock struck 12:01 AM, and it was already blasting from my speaker. Group chats were blowing up with the link to “Diamonds On My Mind,” and Eli was already seeing the well-deserved praise from his fans and fellow DJs alike. This release was exciting, it gave a feeling of camaraderie and a common goal (dancing and listening).

In addition to Eli Brown’s latest single (which you can listen to below), he also announced tour dates for the US. Twitter was ablaze with excitement. Big week for Eli Brown!

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
