Nelly Furtado Calls Dom Dolla “Baby” On Stage at Lollapalooza As Relationship Rumors Continue

Nelly Furtado makes the crowd go wild as she joins Dom Dolla for a surprise performance during his set at Lollapalooza this past weekend.

Over this past weekend, many festivals occurred across the states. From HARD Summer in California to Lollapalooza in Chicago, the music scene was full of events. So, how do you make your performance stand out from the rest? You have some killer surprises during your set, of course! This is exactly what Dom Dolla did when he brought out the queen herself, Nelly Furtado. During his performance on Day One of Lollapalooza, he decided to start the festival out strong with this surprise. But, is Nelly Furtado just a collaboration partner or could she be the one to change Dom Dolla’s relationship status to taken? 

Certainly, bringing out someone you have a top track with is not uncommon. But, Dom Dolla and Nelly Furtado are together on many occasions together. Last Thursday, Lollapalooza attendees enjoyed a special Nelly Furtado appearance with Dom Dolla. The two artists collaborated on one of Dom Dolla’s latest tracks, ‘Eat Your Man’. The track certainly is a huge success for both of the artists. It also is Nelly Furtado’s first release in a long time.

The story of how these two met dates back to 2022. At the festival, Beyond the Valley in Victoria Australia, these two crossed paths for the first time. In a recent post commemorating their Lollapalooza performance Dom Dolla, he went into more detail about the whole story. He writes “Nelly saw my name on a festival poster we were playing together and loved my record ‘Take It’. She sent me a message and the rest is history. This one’s dedicated to bringing out musical worlds together and all the songs we’ve worked on since.” 

Certainly, Dom Dolla and Nelly Furtado were not the duo anyone saw coming but we are here for it! During Lollapalooza, they made history yet again. The duo performed three live tracks together during Nelly’s appearance. As the crowd roared in excitement, Nelly sang her worldwide hit ‘Maneater’ center stage. But mid-song, the crowd heard a glimpse of something new, a never-before-heard Dom Dolla mash-up of ‘Maneater’ x ‘Satisfaction’. Following this another mash-up of Dom Dolla’s ‘Take It’ & Nelly Furtado’s ‘Give It To Me’ filled the ears of the lucky crowd. To close out a phenomenal surprise appearance, Nelly Furtado returned to the stage to perform the track that put these two on the map together ‘Eat Your Man’. This also happen to be the very first time the duo performed the track in a live setting, and let’s be honest Nelly killed it! 

Again, Dom Dolla and Nelly Furtado may not be the duo we expected. But, let’s be honest these mash-ups and tracks from the duo slap. Certainly, we will most likely see more of Nelly Furtado with Dom Dolla so keep your eyes peeled! Whether they are just a dream musical duo or something more we love to see Nelly’s return to music! Also, if they release more hitters like ‘Eat Your Man’, we will not be disappointed at all! Be sure to listen to their track together below!
