Diplo’s Accuser Shelly Auguste Shares New Stories About the DJ on Popular Podcast

Shelly Auguste, who has spoken out about sexual misconduct allegations against Diplo in the past, appears on the Let’s Get Into It podcast to share never-been-heard-before stories about her relationship with the DJ.

The podcast, Let’s Get Into It, titled this episode “Diplo’s Victim EXPOSES His Past (Manipulation, CONTROL, and Legal BATTLES).” This episode’s guest, Shelly Auguste details her alleged sexual encounters with world-renowned DJ and producer Diplo. She claims that she was only 17 years old and in high school when the two met.

Shelly says she feels like she’s “been silenced for almost two years now” and is finally ready to tell her story, especially after Diplo has seemingly controlled the media narrative about the sexual misconduct allegations surrounding his career in recent years. She claims that she felt inspired to do this interview after having a conversation with one of Diplo’s attorneys just last week. “I’m done being silenced,” she says.

The episode’s host, Sloan, asks Shelly Auguste, “Is it true that he took your virginity,” to which Shelly responds, “Yes.” 

When asked about how the two first met, Shelly details a story of how Diplo DMed her on Twitter before adding her on Snapchat. She says, “Instantly– I’m not even kidding–the first message he sends me on Snapchat was ‘send nudes.” 

She continues, “The more that we talked, the more I got a little more comfortable with him. And I sent what I thought was the version of a nude, which was like, bra and underwear or bikini pictures.” According to Shelly Auguste, Diplo responded, “That’s not a nude. You need to show ni***es.”

Although Shelly August claims to have met Diplo when she was 17, the two did not apparently meet for the first time in person until she was 21. “We would talk a lot,” she says. “We talked the most during Covid.” She says they finally met in person for the first time at Story Nightclub in Miami, as Shelly lived in Miami at the time.

Last year, Diplo sued Shelly Auguste for $1.2 million for harassment, calling her  an “obsessive and unstable fan.”
