Mayan Warrior Announces Final Event Ever to Take Place in Los Angeles on Halloween

Mayan Warrior will make its way down to the City of Angels on October 28.

Burning Man’s iconic Mayan Warrior art car was destroyed in a fire this past April while on its way to a fundraiser. Although they might be one art car down, that’s not stopping this team from throwing one final event. This October, Mayan Warrior will make its way down to Downtown Los Angeles to host another iconic event.

Before the art car accident, the iconic Burning Man car had been active for nearly a decade, hosting some of the most iconic moments and performances dance music fans can remember. This forthcoming fundraiser is in partnership with event imprint Stranger Than, which is set to produce the event on October 28. This will mark six years since Mayan Warrior’s initial Los Angeles debut.

While the Mayan Warrior art car will obviously not be on-site for the event, the party will be thrown in light of the imprint’s foundations and ongoing traditions. The event is a fundraiser for the Mexico City-based Mayan Warrior community. All proceeds generated from the event will go towards this foundation’s next Burning Man camp and art project.

At the time of the accident, Mayan Warrior Founder Pablo Gonzalez Vargas said, “Mayan Warrior was never just an art car to us—it was countless moments of laughter, wonder, tears, dancing, and connection. It left with it a beautiful trail of lifelong friendships for which we feel extraordinarily grateful.”

Currently, no artists have been announced for this upcoming soiree, however, Mayan Warrior is known for typically unveiling their official lineups closer to the event. For those interested in going, tickets will go on sale on August 1st. Be sure to get tickets while they last, as this event is sure to fill up quickly. You can sign up for early pre-sale access here and check out the Mayan Warrior Foundation for future announcements.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
