Ekali Teases Return to Live Shows After 2-Year Hiatus

After two years under the radar, Ekali teased a return to live music from his Instagram this week.

Ekali, Producer and DJ, has been laying low for the last few years having not toured or released new music. This week, Ekali teased a return to the spotlight on his Instagram, and fans are elated. And so are we!

With a unique sound that transcends your stereotypical EDM, Ekali blends trap, house, trance, and bass melodies with seamless ease. Known for his use of kick and snare to give his music a unique sound that has warranted features and collaborations from other mega-names.

Having collaborated with Skrillex, ZHU, Illenium, Denzel Curry, What So Not, and Elohim to name a few, his music catalog is deep and diverse. However, there has been silence from the creative recently, but we are hopefully soon to see a comeback this fall.

Ekali teased on his Instagram, “Have a bunch of show announcements coming up for this fall. I’m SO excited to be back on stage and hanging with all of you again. the break was much needed but I literally can’t live without performing sooo ima be going really hard for you guys this next year. tons of new music and lots and lots of shows. thanks for being so patient and I can’t wait to fuck y’all up with this new set 🫶🏼.”

Ekali teases return with a new mix, Awakenings 12.

Music to our ears!! Fans are hyped for this return, flooding his Instagram with comments of joy and excitement. After a hiatus that all artists deserve, for rest, relaxation, and a mind reset – Ekali is sure to return to the scene with some bangers and a rejuvenated sound and we are here for it!

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
