Datsik Performs First Show in Five Years in Los Angeles Following Allegations

Did you miss him? Datsik is back five years after egregious sexual assault allegations.

After five years of alienation and libel due to sexual assault allegations, Datsik is back! Two months ago, he posted to Instagram to promote his new single ‘Afterlife,’ a track he professed was in the “top [ten] on Beatport’s dubstep charts.” Datsik then cheered in the post, “Let’s get it to number [one]!”

Shortly after that announcement regarding his new music, Datsik posted to Instagram to promote his first live show in five years. The show was scheduled for Friday, June 9th in Montebello, California. He advertised ticket sales on his website datsiktickets.com, that doors were to close at 2 AM, and provided a number for bottle service, in case fans felt the need to purchase bottles during his set.

After the show, Datsik reposted a slew of fan content, most of which was taken by women behind the DJ booth, screaming in excitement. One of the posts was even captioned, “Happy birthday and comeback to Datsik.” Thoughtfully, he planned his comeback so that it would coincide with his special day.

In a post to his Instagram feed, Datsik gushed over his resurgence. “Yo Los Angeles,” mused Datsik. “That was a movie! So grateful for the chance to play for [you] all for the first time in 5 years. Thank you also to all my friends and family from the [different] places that flew in for a dope-ass… night. I will never forget this one. Forever grateful.”

To say that Datsik’s comeback is unanimously supported would be an inaccurate statement. Datsik’s behavior has garnered him the reputation of a libertine, a person with loose morals, and a pitiful example of repentance. During his five-year hiatus, he often posted to social media wasted, venting about how his banishment was uncool and invidious.

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
