Mize Joins Narcotics Anonymous and Drops New Mix Following Allegations

Bass DJ and producer Mize recently shared a series of posts showing the public what he’s been up to since multiple sexual abuse allegations came forth against him.

Mize has been quiet on social media lately, but over the weekend, he shared two posts to his Instagram story: a link to a new “all original unreleased” mix titled “As Above So Below” to SoundCloud with the caption “not a comeback – just processing emotions the only way I know how [key emoji], followed by a photo of a Narcotics Anonymous medallion with the caption “P.s – Don’t be afraid to get help [purple heart emoji].

Late last year, Mize, real name Ian Evans, faced a slew of allegations that put his career on a halt. Multiple women posted to Twitter detailing accounts in which Mize had abused them or someone else. Perhaps the most damaging story was shared by a Twitter user named Emily Page, who recounted an experience with the DJ at Sonic Bloom festival in Colorado.

Mize came to his defense regarding the encounter by issuing a cease and desist letter to Page, who tweeted about it. Her post read, “I am absolutely over it, and a C&D will not keep me quiet.” In another tweet, she wrote, “Sending a cease and desist to silence women who want to speak their truth about SA before they even go public? Smells like guilt to me (skull emoji).”

Separately, Mize also explained that their previous sexually charged conversations were an indication that led him to believe she wanted to engage intimately. He provided screenshots of their conversation the following day and a screenshot of Page reaching out on a separate occasion to request a guest list for a show in Tampa.

Page’s story sparked further discussion about Mize, including a bizarre Reddit post about an abusive encounter someone had with an anonymous DJ in late 2021. Although the post did not mention Mize in particular, many fans put pieces together and assumed the story was about him. Mize denied any involvement with the person who shared the story, and another woman named Tiffany Wickham came forward to vouch for his whereabouts the night the abuse allegedly occurred.

Since the allegations against Mize surfaced in October 2022, the DJ has gone radio silent on social media. That is until over the weekend when he gave fans a glimpse into his current life: making music and actively recovering from addiction.
