Alison Wonderland Drops Debut ‘GENESIS’ LP Under her Whyte Fang Alias Featuring Collab from Tame Impala

Whyte Fang debuts the darker side of Alison Wonderland with the release of the highly-anticipated album ‘GENESIS’.

Following nearly a decade of dormancy, Alison Scholler, famously known as Alison Wonderland, has released a new LP under her coveted alter-ego, Whyte Fang. Having created the whole LP album throughout her pregnancy, Alison describes the emergence of ‘GENESIS’ as a period where she was “the most creative she has ever felt”.

Like a true artist, Scholler gave herself a blank canvas to experiment with different styles of electronic music, outside her comfort zone of the Alison Wonderland sound. Whyte Fang introduces the darker side of Scholler with elements of dark techno and dark trap, featuring heavy low-tempo beats and instrumentals, a touch of wubs and dubs, and vocal glitches.

“GENESIS” LP will be released alongside Scholler’s new record label FMU Records, featuring a twelve-count soundtrack. The enigmatic alter-ego formally introduces themself in the first track “Hello”, sending out expectations for fans that they will “forget the darkness”. Fans can expect to be sent into a timeless and mysterious space of darkness, still embodied by light.

Whyte Fang will be featuring notable collaborators in ‘GENESIS’ LP, including Jay Watson (Tame Impala, Pond, GUM), Erick The Architect (Flatbush Zombies), Elohim, Barney Bones, and Chidi Himself. Jay Watson’s collaboration on “Genesis” brings in a nostalgic-electro-feel with rock vocals.

Each moment experienced in ‘GENESIS’ LP will build up to a moment for the breath to reach unity with the soul entering the rabbit hole, an infinite dreamlike state that leaves the body and mind floating fearlessly into the beyond.

Coachella Valley & Arts Festival will be welcoming Whyte Fang’s LP release with a production-heavy and cutting-edge live experience on both festival weekends (round of applause because Sholler is eight months pregnant)! If you can not make it to the desert, Whyte Fang will be featured in the Coachella Live Stream on Youtube.

Yoooo, the homies call me Marz. I am a multidimensional Piscean Latina fairy from Miami-Dade County (no, not Florida). Electronic music has allowed me to appreciate the profound beauty that can be found in finding peace within the chaos. Artists such as Rezz, Skrillex, John Summit, Michael Bibi, and Amtrac blend the two seamlessly, creating a harmonious balance that resonates with me whenever I am on the dancefloor. When I am writing about electronic music, I feel this same balance of peace and chaos moving through me - starting in my hips, filling my heart, and radiating out from my soul. The power of music has brought me to this exact moment, and I only desire that you feel the warmth of the sun through my words.
