Link Miami Rebels and Bar Lab Bring New State-of-the-Art Sound Room to Brooklyn

New York and Miami audiophiles celebrate the grand opening of the swanky sound room Jolene Brooklyn, opening March 17th at Moxy Hotels

Audiophiles nationwide look forward to celebrating the electronic music culture and Brooklyn-based local artists at the grand opening of Jolene Brooklyn, a multisensory experience with cutting-edge sound technology curated by award-winning sound team Nicolas Matar and Scott Ciungan of Phonic Technologies. The masterminds behind this passionate project are Moxy Hotels, hospitality pioneers Elad Zvi and Gabe Orta from Bar Lab Hospitality, and Link Miami Rebels | Space Invaders nightlife veterans Davide Danese, Coloma Kaboomsky, and iii Points co-founder David Sinopoli.

Phonic Technologies’ holistic approach to sound design ensures resonant acoustics by carefully studying the venue’s acoustics and selecting the finishing touches for optimal sound quality to showcase the best disco, house, and techno. The warm walnut, smooth leather, and posh fabrics ensure the perfect acoustics and pull together timeless energy.

Guests will experience a swanky sound room, inspired by the femininity and fierceness of Dolly Parton and the intimacy of 1970s and 1980s nightclubs. The retro-themed room is surrounded by interactive marquee-styled lights that line around the space, providing the energy of a vibrant club to an intimate lounge tone with Bar Lab’s delicious cocktails

The results of Phonic Technologies’ holistic approach to sound design must be experienced in person to truly understand how intentionally every detail of this magical space was considered. The collaborative concept from Bar Lab Hospitality and Space Invaders gives us a foreshadowing of the future of DJ-driven experiences in the heart of Brooklyn. Coloma of Link Miami Rebels / Space Invaders shares:

“We are thrilled for this adventure…we have always appreciated the love affair between Miami and New York. The opening of Jolene gives us an intimate room with impeccable sound to foster and nourish Brooklyn’s ever-growing nightlife.

Tickets are available on Resident Advisor, and additional options for entry at door with the purchase of a table. Brooklyn local talents such as Eli Escobar, Analog Soul, Justin Strauss, and DJ Spinna are secured to cook up and throw down on the opening week.

Yoooo, the homies call me Marz. I am a multidimensional Piscean Latina fairy from Miami-Dade County (no, not Florida). Electronic music has allowed me to appreciate the profound beauty that can be found in finding peace within the chaos. Artists such as Rezz, Skrillex, John Summit, Michael Bibi, and Amtrac blend the two seamlessly, creating a harmonious balance that resonates with me whenever I am on the dancefloor. When I am writing about electronic music, I feel this same balance of peace and chaos moving through me - starting in my hips, filling my heart, and radiating out from my soul. The power of music has brought me to this exact moment, and I only desire that you feel the warmth of the sun through my words.
