American Girl Releases Special Edition Electronic Music Producer Doll

The latest edition to the American Girl collection includes an inspirational doll, Kavi, who has a passion for Electronic Music production. 

American Girl is a doll brand that many of us grew up playing with. We grew up seeing American Girl dolls who had the best careers. They could be anything from a doctor, vet, and nurse. But now, American Girl is expanding their brand with the latest edition. The newest doll has a talent for music featuring electronic music production! Let’s all get ready to meet Kavi, American Doll’s Girl of the Year for 2023! 

The brand, American Girl, is one that strives to bring inspiration to young girls around the world. Their main objective is to bring magic to young girls throughout their childhood. With unique adventurous tales and imaginative roles, American girl desires to make sure every girl has a possibility to learn who they are and who they are meant to be. So, certainly expanding the life stories of their dolls is something they must keep up with. 

With their Girl of the Year movement, we are able to get a glimpse into where American Girl sees issues for girls in our world today. On their site, they explain how their Girl of the Year is meant to highlight topics important to girls today. In 2022, Corinne Tan was their Girl of the Year. She pursues adventures in the mountains to escape from her family issues at home. While their Girl of the Year in 2021, Kira Bailey journeys to Australia. Her story takes place in an Animal Rescue including different aspects of animal rescue work. While currently, with Kavi, we have a new American Girl doll who enjoys electronic music production.

Finally, Kavi Sharma, 2023 Girl of the Year, is the first Indian American girl doll for the brand. Her story includes growing up in New Jersey. Kavi loves singing, dancing, and performing, something many girls also find passion in today. She, like many other girls, has the desire to be something different. She has a unique talent and passion for something she loves. It is not the standard career path many families may want their daughters to pursue. But in her story, we learn that her family stands behind her decisions with full support. Also, being successful in the music and performance industry can be tough. Certainly, though, Kavi shines the light on never giving up and following your passion. 

In their purpose statement, the American Girl team states “No matter if she’s a toddler or entering her teen years. Every girl can find inspiration to be her best. We hope to open girls’ eyes to a bigger world so they can create a brighter future for us all.” Artists like LP Giobbi and Anabel Englund showed their support for Kavi on Instagram. And we agree this is a great edition of the American Girl collection! American Girl positively grasps in every new edition a new inspiration for young girls to follow. We cannot wait to see Kavi at a festival near us soon!
