Aibai Transports to a Dreamstate with New Ambient EP ‘Disconnected’

Arizona-Based Producer, Aibai, Launches Her New EP, ‘Disconnected’, Taking Her Listeners Into A Dream-Like World

Hailing from Minneapolis, 24-year-old producer Aibai has just revealed her latest EP, ‘Disconnected,’ with four very different tracks. Currently based in Phoenix, the talented producer sets up the new EP with an atmospheric soundscape, which is sure to provide an immersive sonic experience for the listener. Aibai’s EP is experimental as she incorporates the sounds of her friends, their pets, and some heavy synths. When asked about the animals included on the tracks, Aibai stated, “It was super fun including everyone on this song! And I had a fun time taking their voices, meows, and barks and turning them into a cool new sound that could add to the song.”

Each track has its own unique sound, which makes it a great EP for any music lover to enjoy. Inspired by dance music greats such as Odesza and Polo & Pan, ‘Disconnected’ serves as an exciting chapter for the blossoming producer. The first track “Higher,” has all of the eclectic animal sounds and an underlying mid-tempo melody. The title track, “Disconnected,” combines the flavors of dream pop with driving dance rhythms.

The third track, “Peaches,” has the listener take a journey with a strong dance beat and hammering kick-drums. “Peaches” is coupled with light vocals that add soft vocals, full of lyrics with luscious feels. The last track, “Gone,” sends the listener falling into the flowing intro, with a simple, yet magnetic rhythm, with Aibai’s creativity sprinkled throughout the track.

Aibai’s ‘Disconnected’ is filled with amazing sounds, where dance meets pop. When asked about her creative process, Aibai stated, “It is hard for me to just sit down and write during a specific given time. Creativity for me comes at the most random times whether it’s late at night after watching a tv show, or while I am on a hike. Oftentimes, I try to listen to my favorite artists or find new music to listen to for inspiration. When starting a song, I typically start with a melody. I then add harmonies and all sorts of different sounds creating multiple layers until it sounds full.”
