The time has finally come for devoted fans who have remained curious about Ghastly’s creative growth following his 2018 debut record ‘The Mystery Oracle’, a creative masterpiece that sent the world a first-class mail invitation to witness the boundless and thematic creativity of his art.
David Lee Crow, better known by his stage name Ghastly, opens himself up to new possibilities by giving his audience an innovative lens to view the next era of his sound in house music. The highly anticipated album ‘Haunted Haus‘ features artists such as Madalen Duke, Yvng Jalapeño, ALRT, Somnium Sound, Misdom, BOYGLOOM, BROHUG, Dani Poppitt, and Entra.
The energy this album embodies is the reality of the present feeling unpredictable while your heart rate is accelerating your hips to move around the bass. Unexpectedly, you will be warped into an atramentous hole, spinning down a dark tunnel of rattling bass.
Ghastly’s evolution is seen the most on his thirteenth track “Obvious” featuring BOYGLOOM. This track inspired Ghastly to lean more into a melodic aesthetic and joyful production. To the same degree, Ghastly intends that ‘Haunted Haus’ will give listeners the ability to dance to it, chill to it, or fuck to it.
Track such as “Get Focused” album shines a light on how Ghastly can compose his multi-dimensional sound through elements of house and bass, yet revolutionize it entirely. In this record, Ghastly takes a step back from the bass-house to create teeth-grinding bass. This production starts with the reality of the present becoming unpredictable as you hear the clocks slowly ticking. Meanwhile, your heart is racing and unexpectedly warped into a dark hole of rattling bass.
