Black Coffee Tops Off The Brooklyn Mirage’s Opening Weekend With Two-Night Run – [READ]
Renowned South African DJ and producer Black Coffee made his return to New York for two nights of unforgettable music and dancing to close out a magical opening weekend at the Brooklyn Mirage.
The multi-award-winning artist was rescheduled to play on July 4th after the initial show got canceled last summer. Due to overwhelming interest in the show, the venue booked him for a second night on Monday, July 5th.
The Sunday night show afforded attendees breathtaking views of the Fourth of July celebratory fireworks across the city. Vanjee took the Mirage stage after doors opened at 6 PM, followed by Brooklyn-based talent Joe Claussell. Black Coffee finally got started around midnight to carry the airy house vibes into the early morning hours.
The two-night extravaganza continued on Monday as Vanjee got back on the decks at 4 PM, followed by disco legend Louie Vega. Just as the sun was setting over the New York City skyline, Black Coffee took the stage to command the crowd with his signature colorful and nostalgic sounds. The three-hour set was topped off by a special back-to-back performance by Black Coffee and Louie Vega, marking a memorable first weekend back at the venue since its closure due to the pandemic.
Attendees could take a break and cool down from the heat of the dancefloor by visiting the food court for tasty fresh cooked meals or one of the many bars situated across the two-story venue. In addition to the Mirage stage, the Kings Hall stage remained open for those looking for a change in pace throughout each night.
The Brooklyn Mirage was the perfect open-air sanctuary to host Black Coffee and his incredible lineup of talent. Music lovers come together on the dancefloor in unison, and for those two nights, everything felt right for dance music again.
