Nina Las Vegas Forced To Cancel HARD Summer Performance Due to Government Restrictions – [Read]

Lack of vaccinations, mandated quarantines, and expensive international travel leave Nina Las Vegas furious at the Aussie Government

Just a few days ago, artist Nina Las Vegas took to Instagram to let her fans know that she will no longer be performing at Hard Summer. She displayed her anger at Prime Minister, Scott Morrison, for not better handling the music industry’s ability to engage globally.

“Please blame Scomo and his ignorant crew of boring white men who fail to see any worth in anyone that lives slightly different to them and their mates”.

Other artists expressed their support in the comments, stating how the government’s lack of support for the arts during the pandemic has been inadequate. Anna Lunoe, Muki, and Michelle Hunder all showed that they understand Las Vegas’s frustration and hope to see some change shortly.

While this announcement was a surprise to many, it was not the first time that Las Vegas displayed her anger at the AU government for their lack of vaccine rollout. On Twitter, Nina has expressed that Australian health officials’ warnings are of poor judgment and should be reconsidered.

While people in the States will not be able to catch her at Hard Summer this July, those in Australia will be able to see Nina on August 8th at the Fortitude Music Hall in Brisbane. For more information on the event click here.
