DROELOE ANNOUNCE SPLIT IN OPEN LETTER TO FANS – [READ]

Ahead of DROELOE’s ‘A Matter of Perspective’ releasing 11/13, the EDM duo details the departure of their visual half, Hein Hamers. Sadly, this is not an attempt to drive traction ahead of their upcoming album release. The Dutch audio-visual duo has parted ways and will continue on solo careers. The production half — Vince Rooijers will continue to release music as DROELOE while Hein Hamers will pursue other visual art projects.

Over Twitter, they penned open letters to each other reflecting on the past five years as DROELOE, a hybrid audiovisual experience:

Hamers writes, “To do one last project together was to honor those memories and to keep them the way they are without spoiling them.” In a bittersweet response, Rooijers laments, “It’s been one hell of an adventure my friend, thank you!!”

Hopefully, this mutual break-up can lead to a reunion sometime soon. Until then, you can expect DROELOE to release hit hard-hitting, future bass anthems on San Holo’s bitbird record label.

Don’t forget to listen to their anthology album ‘A Matter of Perspective’ out on November 13th. You can hear their latest single, “Roadside Flowers” below.
