Hotel Garuda Talks Struggles of Touring in New Track “Blurry Eyes”

Hotel Garuda has yet again ignited a flame in the music community after a short hiatus with the release of their first single of the year, “Blurry Eyes” feat. Runn on Mom+Pop Music. This DJ/producer duo composed of Manilla Killa and Candle Weather is known for their adaptable sound and incredible passion.

“Blurry Eyes” is actually the lead track from their upcoming debut EP, paving the way for an exciting summer when it comes to new music. This fun track has the traditional Hotel Garuda house vibe to it, but also sets itself apart with rather powerful lyrics.

“We toured so much last year that we ended a lot of nights feeling disconnected from our friends and partners, and sometimes from ourselves. Going into this year we really wanted to make our mark with original work that spoke not only to our influences but to our experiences as well. Our first session this year was with RUNN and co-writer David Pramik, and sharing our experiences with them was a great way for us to channel our lives into music. “Blurry Eyes” contains some rather heavy lyrics that touch on the trials of touring, especially the tolls it can take on the mental health of an artist. Leave it to Hotel Garuda to always keep it real with their fans—their one-of-a-kind talent and genuine attitude toward their listeners is what makes new music worth the wait each time. We absolutely loved this track, and are eager to uncover the rest of the magic from the EP.
