Eli Brown launches streetwear brand dedicated to Bristol’s underground scene

Techno titan Eli Brown has debuted 92 Thing, a new streetwear brand that pays homage to his hometown’s underground scene.

DJ Eli Brown celebrates over two decades of his techno career with the introduction of his new clothing brand, 92 Thing. The streetwear label pays tribute to the seminal year that cemented an iconic era of Bristol’s underground rave scene.

Brown burst into the mainstream electronic world in 2016, but his roots began in the United Kingdom’s underground movement. What started in the shadowy soundscapes led to a vibrant career that now spans over two decades. The producer most recently shined with two NYC performances, starting with a sold-out pop-up rave, and then a headlining show the next day.

The clothing brand intends to combine several fashion touchpoints, drawing inspiration from streetwear culture and modern trends, with a touch of nostalgia to tie it all together. The result is 92 Thing, a clothing brand whose first drop lands as a limited-run capsule of 200 units.

Following its first release, the brand will drop styles throughout the year in select quantities. This roll out sets the brand apart from other artists’ merchandise, instead aligning more with streetwear culture. Unit exclusivity is a draw of the brand, à la Supreme or BAPE.

His take on clothing seems to pay tribute to his own affinity for streetwear, with the producer pictured wearing notable fashion house Vetements. Aside from launching clothing, the producer has been gearing up for a busy summer working the global festival circuit. Brown will perform at American festivals, such as EDC and Hard Summer, before he heads to Europe for Sonos Festival and Creamfields.

The producer recently dropped new music, with releases like “Diamonds On My Mind,” “Be The One,” and “Make You Freak.” Brown’s debut of 92 Thing marks a new milestone for the techno titan, who already manages labels like We Are The Brave and Arcane.
