Eli Brown and Layton Giordani Release Long-Awaited Collab “When I Push”

Techno powerhouse Eli Brown has joined forces with critically-acclaimed producer Layton Giordani for a hypnotic new track inspired by OFFAIAH’s 2018 hit “Push Pull.”

Fresh off a string of successful releases that brought his 2023 to a close, English techno superstar Eli Brown has kicked off 2024 with another track that promises to be a hit. “When I Push” recruits trend-setting American techno producer Layton Giordani for a captivating edit of the 2018 hit “Push Pull” by English artist OFFAIAH. After months and months of requests from fans to release the ID, Eli has finally given in and dropped it on Adam Beyer’s label Drumcode.

The track begins right off the bat with the earworm vocal which remains there every step of the way as things build up to a fever pitch: “When I push I feel good; When I pull I feel good.” A stuttery, reverb-heavy bass line drives the song forward as it drops the listener into a strikingly hollow and hypnotic soundscape. It’s easy to picture “When I Push” enveloping an enormous room of delighted techno-heads and taking the atmosphere to the next level, as it is sure to do countless times in the coming months and years.

This latest release continues something of a hot streak in the studio for Eli Brown. Over the past year, he’s released another long-awaited collab in “RIDE OR DIE” with HI-LO (Oliver Heldens), his all-time smash hit “Be The One,” fan-favorites “Diamonds On My Mind” and “Love Is Free,” and more. His record label Arcane is also in the midst of taking the techno charts by storm with releases from himself and a number of talented artists including Bart Skils, Disfreq, and Joyhauser.

Layton Giordani, for his part, is coming off his wildly popular 2023 song “Phantom” which built on the success of his own HI-LO collab, 2022’s “Rabbit Hole.” As he continues to gain more and more notoriety in the techno world, this new record with the legendary Eli Brown will do wonders for fueling his rise to full-fledged stardom.
