DJ and Producer Marc Mysterio Challenges Jake Paul to St. Patrick’s Day Fight

Coming off his debut Billboard-charting hit, “The Dancefloor,” Marc Mysterio is ready to take on another challenge, this time in the boxing ring instead of the studio.

“The Dancefloor” impressively debuted on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart at #41. Mysterio’s prior work involves collaborations with Flo Rida, Crash Test Dummies, and even as a composer for Netflix’s Trailer Park Boys.

However, Marc Mysterio is a man of many talents. He’s a seasoned boxer with a long legacy of fighters in his bloodline, going back to the mid-19th century. He’s developed a persona rooted in his Irish-Canadian heritage, drawing a global fanbase to his name. Mysterio is a well-rounded performer in all facets.

He demonstrates immense respect for Jake Paul, the YouTube star-turned-boxer, which appears to be the premise for the fight. Marc Mysterio said, “Jake is misunderstood, but he means well. I see a lot of myself in him. Although I see some clear faults in his game, I’d be happy to help (in time).”

By “help,” Mysterio presumably means “obliterate” him in the boxing ring, as he’s said he will do. He continued, “If you follow my advice, Jake, you will win universal respect from the fans and the sports world – money and views can’t buy that!”

The proposed fight would take place on St. Patrick’s Day 2024 for the World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver Bridgerweight Championship, a newly formed and vacant title in the weight class of 200 to 224 pounds. It would benefit WBC Cares, the charity arm of the boxing organization. WBC Cares helps disadvantaged children around the world.

Jake Paul has yet to respond to the undefeated boxer’s challenge. If accepted, Marc Mysterio and Jake Paul will battle it out in the boxing ring on March 16th. Stay tuned for any official announcements once Paul speaks up.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
