Mariah Carey has amassed massive earnings on her celebrated Christmas hit keep on keeping on.

Mariah Carey’s international sensation “All I Want for Christmas Is You” has been warming hearts, minds, bodies, and souls like a hot cup of cocoa since 1994, for almost three decades and counting.

The track has now achieved more than 1.5 billion streams on Spotify, a laudable feat for any artist, let alone a seasonal track that debuted long before Spotify’s inception in 2006 and IPO (i.e. public listing on the New York Stock Exchange) in 2018.

According to FR-CasinoSpot.com, Mariah Carey has amassed more than 7.5 million dollars in streaming royalties alone. The group estimates that Spotify pays an artist roughly $0.005 per stream, translating to seven figures worth of revenue for Miss Mariah. This revenue stream doesn’t include paid holiday performances, other press releases, and/or all the fun tidbits generated from her fantastic holiday hit (which she is rumored to have miraculously written in under 15 minutes).

Although seven million dollars sounds like a heavy chunk of change, it’s a paltry portion of Mariah’s net worth. The singer, songwriter, and model has been estimated to be worth around 350 million dollars.

Although Mariah has won five Grammy’s, has sold over 200 million albums worldwide, and is the second best-selling female artist of all time (second only to Madonna), one of her most noteworthy achievements is suing her ex-fiancé James Packer for 50 million dollars, citing “inconvenience” in the civil suit – she essentially demanded financial compensation for wasted time. She also kept the engagement ring, a rock rumored to be north of 12 million dollars. The Queen of Christmas is also the queen of business.
