Inside Costa Rica’s Envision Festival: 7-Day Music and Art Celebration

Spend seven days in Costa Rica at Envision Festival, an immersive experience in the jungle of Central America.

From March 4th through March 11th of 2024, Envision Festival in Costa Rica has much in store for its lucky attendees. The creative team behind the festival has created a well-versed art and music itinerary that will surely be one for the books. The event will take its festivalgoers on a journey of spiritual wellness, health, entertainment, and music. During the day, this week-long festival will feature workshops for yoga, visionary art, dance, acrobatics, and medicinal pharmacology, while serving incredible electronic dance sets at night.

Although the 2024 lineup has yet to be released, the lineup from this year’s production included artists such as Bonobo, CloZee, AMEME, the California Honeydrops, and many more. Artists from the 2020 setlist included Rüfüs Du Sol and Tipper, along with workshops from interesting humans such as Paul Stamets, a preeminent mycologist and pioneer in the space of psychedelic culture and decriminalization.

Not only is Envision Festival a wonderful place to explore spirituality and listen to incredible sets, but it’s also sustainability-minded. The festival’s creative team incepted a foundation in 2020 called Somos El Cambio that has planted thousands of trees and collected over 30 tons of trash from ocean and beach clean-ups. Through Somos El Cambio, attendees can donate directly to plant one tree, three trees, five trees, or even 100 trees, contributing to the foundation’s important mission.

The festival’s About Us statement demonstrates the same throughline of grounding, purpose, spirituality, nature, and adventure. “Envision’s mission is to create an eye-opening experience that turns us onto a new form of living; a new way to be inspired,” shares the company on its website. “To provide tools that can be integrated into the life we are already living or to inspire a complete shift in our life path. The connection to nature can be felt in every aspect of Envision and the ripple effect of what people then take away from the festival is much more potent than just a good party.”

Heralding from sunny South Florida, I am a proud Florida Woman. In my free time, I surf the swamp, wrangle gators, open fan mail, and tend to my pets. In the wild, I'm most often spotted at immersive art spaces, step tappin' in a shadowed corner of the club, hater blockerz on, totally incognito as your resident EDM spice girl. Although I generally tout my spicy side, if there's one thing I'd love to impress upon the world, it would be this: it's not a waste to give love to those who do not deserve it – it's a gift. The world would be a better place if we gave, in kindness and in mercy, to those who need it most with no expectation in return.
