Neil Frances Releases New Electro-Pop Album ‘It’s All A Bit Fuzzy’ Inspired by the Morning After

Neil Frances has officially released their sophomore album, ‘It’s All a Bit Fuzzy,’ filled with bass, synths, and the feelings that arise during the morning after.

Neil Frances finally releases their highly-anticipated new album, ‘It’s All A Bit Fuzzy.’ The title track begins the album, immediately letting the listener know what they are getting into. Low-toned, harmonizing synths are followed by prominent drums, cymbal crashes, and deep vocals layered on top. “Some Kind of Static” continues with dreamy chimes and a beat that is bound to make the listener dance.

“Energy” leans into disco, explicitly calling the listener to dance before “Gimme the Bag” and “Head Straight” featuring St. Panther bring groovy vibes with dominating bass lines.  “01 She’s Just the Type Of Girl” with x dreamcastmore marks the halfway point of the album. The record shifts from upbeat, synth-soaked songs to more chill tracks.

The lead single, “Standing My Ground,”  kicks off the second half of the project as bass flows into “Let’s Break It Down” with St. Panther and “High” with PawPaw Rod. The final song, appropriately titled “Bye Bye Bye,” ends ‘It’s All a Bit Fuzzy’ with Neil Frances’ distinct 80s-esque sound. This tune’s exotic soundscapes close out the album in true eccentric Neil Francis fashion.

“We wanted to evoke that feeling you have the day after a night out, which is just as important, fun, and rewarding – feeling fuzzy from that night. Just sinking into the couch and being with a loved one or friend. It’s a haziness and slight discomfort, but also a cute, cuddly day,” Neil Frances revealed about the inspiration behind the album and its art, created by Angela Bacher.

They continued, “Angela’s work captures that. It’s literally fuzzy and blurry but also warm and cute. There’s also this sinister thing happening with it — it’s got a bit of an edge. It mirrors the club experience, where you ride such a high that you have to suffer through a bit of a low.” The abstract art of Neil Frances’ new album captures their electro-pop style and illustrates the contents of the record impeccably.

With the release of ‘It’s All a Bit Fuzzy,’ the pair are beginning their headlining tour in Denver later this month. More information is on their official website. Get ready to groove and listen to the full album below:
