Rainbow Kitten Surprise Cancels All Upcoming Tour Dates Due to a “Medical Crisis”

upcoming tour dates have been called off by beloved band Rainbow Kitten Surprise due to an unforeseen medical crisis.

Rainbow Kitten Surprise made the difficult decision to cancel their entire forthcoming touring schedule as a health issue has ensued. The highly loved indie rock band has been making waves since 2013. Now encroaching on a decade of work hailing from North Carolina. Their unique name was unearthed “by a friend who was on a morphine drip at the time, recently out of surgery.”

From that moment to now coming full circle, they have made headlines after notifying fans of a “health crisis.” On May 23rd they took to Twitter to alert fans of their situation. “Our band has come to the decision to put our health as our only priority right now,” began their tweet. With vague details of circumstances but overall showing love for their bandmate. The tweet read, “One of our members is in a medical crisis.”

Moreover, anyone that has experienced the unnerving comfort of a medical crisis can identify with their decision. “To make sure they have the time to get the proper treatment,” continued to read. No matter how much preparation, encounters such as these are difficult nonetheless. Their tweet concluded, “We have decided to take down the entire year of shows and turn off the lights for now.”

The thread continued with five-plus posts from the band explaining their thought process, leading them to this conclusion. Healing is a journey some days are good and others can turn bad. Subsequently, addressing these matters isn’t a light switch that can be flipped on or off. Time is needed to truly allow the wounds to heal or rather conditions to improve.

This news came off of two recent cancelations at Hangout Festival and a show scheduled for St. Petersburg. Two of the forthcoming cancelations include festivals-Bonnaroo and Hulaween. The band canceled on Hulaween in Florida last year as well.

Without a doubt, this was a difficult decision.
