Manila Killa and Hotel Garuda Tease New Project Chromebodies with Debut Performance at The Brooklyn Mirage

Two beloved artists, Manila Killa and Hotel Garuda, have come together for a second time to create a fresh new project, Chromebodies.

It appears Manila Killa and Hotel Garuda are the masterminds behind the new sought-after Chromebodies music project. The duo is hyping up their debut in Brooklyn this summer at Louis The Child’s Alter-Ego event. According to their Instagram page, the project will debut on August 19th at the Brooklyn Mirage.

After coming back from EDC Las Vegas, Manila Killa posted to IG, “our @chr0meb0dies remix got played by john summit & subtronics,” in addition to his other big achievements of the weekend. At the same time, Hotel Garuda is highlighting the new project on his own socials. He quote tweeted a post from Chromebodies celebrating a new edit the duo released of “Sweater Weather” by The Neighbourhood.

The “Sweater Weather” rework is high-energy, hypnotic, and just what we need to get these summer vibes going. Fans also recently became aware of another remix, this time for Nelly Furtado’s “Say It Right.”

This is the track that John Summit and Subtronics played at EDC in front of tens of thousands of fans last weekend. As Chrombodies put it, “just a casual 70K people getting CHROMEBODIED.”

In addition to an infectious sound, Chromebodies sleek logo and black and white branding has caught fans attention. However, this isn’t the first time Manila Killa and Hotel Garuda partnered as artists. Manila Killa was part of Hotel Garuda for four years before splitting in 2018 to focus on their solo projects.

Now, the two incredibly talented artists prepare for their big debut–the Brooklyn Mirage this coming August. Louis The Child’s Alter-Ego event will be the perfect spot to share the new project with the dance music world, and finally show fans what Chromebodies’ stage presence is all about. Until then, keep your eye out for more fire remixes:

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
