Apashe Releases New Track “Gasoline” with Raga Following Debut at Lollapalooza Mumbai

Apashe has finally released his collaboration with Indian rapper Raga that was first premiered at Lollapalooza Mumbai in early 2023.

Earlier this year, Belgian producer Apashe performed at Mumbai’s inaugural Lollapalooza festival and it was beyond spectacular. During his set at Perry’s Stage, the Montreal-based artist surprised the crowd by debuting a new song that immediately stood out to fans because of its familiar elements.

“Gasoline” is a shapeshifting cut that features bars by Delhi hip-hop titan Raga. Collaborating with a local artist and premiering the joint during his stay in India did wonders for Apashe’s popularity in the country. With the track now out via Kannibalen Records, it is expected to generate high numbers.

The above video was shot in India as well. It features Apashe and Raga amid a large group of people traversing desert landscapes. Additionally, the visual package also displays a range of architecture that speaks to the country’s vibrant culture.

Written and produced by Apashe, “Gasoline” comprises an intense industrial pulse with an Indian glow. Raga embellishes this beat with the same knockout bars that have made him one of the country’s leading prospects. All in all, this crossover is one that’ll firmly remain anchored in the public’s consciousness.

This single is an extract from Apashe’s forthcoming studio record, ‘Antagonist.’ The full tracklist is due this summer and is the follow-up to his widely successful 2020 debut, ‘Renaissance.’ The new album will exhibit a wide range of classical music as well as a deep roster of all-star musicians.

Raga is currently on the come-up in India’s bustling hip-hop culture. This spitter has been making waves since his hit Rap ka Mausam” first started making the rounds. Given his skill, it’s safe to say that his ascension will be swift and we’re thrilled to be here for it!
