VNSSA Compiles All Female Remix EP for her Hit Single “In The Dark” on Discovery Project

VNSSA is teaming up with AIMMIA, ABCO, and ZOF to make remixes for her single, “In The Dark,” on Discovery Project.

VNSSA has released her remix EP, including three new takes on her single, “In The Dark,” by AIMMIA, ABCO, and ZOF. All four tracks are mixed by female producers, shining light on a space often overpowered by men. The remixes are all fresh, taking the tech house track in different directions.

Released on Insomniac Records in 2022, VNSSA’s original “In The Dark” was met with incredible support from the scene. With its addictive kicks and punching beats, it is no surprise that “In The Dark” garnered over 450,000 streams. The single was a part of LP Giobbi’s ‘Femme House Takeover’ which focused on empowering people who identify as women in the industry.

With sporadically toned synths, clashing cymbals, and intense build-ups, AIMMIA’s remix begins the EP on a deep level. ABCO adds a tropical flare with funky synths to the track while keeping the punching beats of the original. ZOF personalizes the track with her own lyrics, harmonizing and adding distorted sounds on top of the original.

The full ‘In The Dark’ remixes were dropped on Insomniac Records’ Discovery Project. The project is continuing to fully commit to boosting rising artists by sharing resources, exposure, and more. In a competition held by the project, AIMMIA, ABCO, and ZOF won their place on the EP.

The competition was held at the end of last year, ending with AIMMIA in first place, holding the opening slot on the remix EP. All of the producers featured are talented up-and-comers with different strengths and styles to add to the tech house genre.

While VNSSA has not announced any upcoming releases or shows, she is playing shows this summer and is playing Ultra Music Festival this weekend. Listen to all of the “In The Dark” remixes here:
