Above & Beyond Release Majestically Dark Tune “Distorted Truth”

Above & Beyond reveal ‘Distorted Truth’ as the second chapter of their ‘Common Ground Companion EP’. As the ominous counterpart of ‘Flying By Candlelight’, this track delves into a dark and mysterious world dusted with emotion and soul. ‘Distorted Truth’ demonstrates Above & Beyond’s utter mastery of classic trance instrumentation.

‘Distorted Truth’ takes listeners through a limitless journey of emotion. The euphoric initial build takes its time leading up to a painfully awe-inspiring peak. An array of energetic synths paired with a smooth underlying pulse carry ‘Distorted Truth’ straight into the atmosphere. Above & Beyond’s music is often distinguished by their ability to bring live crowds to tears. This track is a beautiful submission the most tender and raw forms of sound.

Above & Beyond debuted ‘Distorted Truth’ during their sold out Group Therapy 300 celebrations in Hong Kong. The group’s ‘Common Ground Companion EP’ is a trifecta of sublimity. The album includes ‘Flying By Candlelight’ (feat. Marty Longstaff), ‘There’s Only You (feat. Zoë Johnston) and ‘Distorted Truth’. The release is available on a limited edition vinyl press with the full digital package dropping on March 29th.

The release of ‘Distorted Truth’ coincides with on sale announcement of Above & Beyond’s return to The Gorge Amphitheater in Washington. The magical event will take place in July for their first ever Group Therapy Weekender. The Group Therapy Weekender is a three day camping event at one of North America’s most picturesque venues.
