From trap to trippy, LSDREAM formerly known as Brillz took a complete 180 in his life and music career.

If you’re new to the scene, you may not know LSDREAM has been in the electronic game longer than some may think. Before 2018, Sami Diament used to operate as a heavy trap producer known as Brillz.

Though at the time he was doing a little soul searching and decided to switch lanes to create more trippy and liquid bass music. For years Diament has struggled with his sobriety and mental health issues but has always been frank about it with his fans.

His shift in genres is a direct reflection of Diament not only evolving as an artist but as a person himself. In May of 2018, LSDREAM released his debut album, Voyager, on Liquid Stranger’s WAKAAN imprint. In his announcement, he declared, “It’s time to take a new trip.” Check out our favorite LSDREAM-inspired looks here and here.

However, saying this album is just trippy is an understatement. LSDREAM takes fans on a sonic journey of the inner self through wonky beats and psychedelic sounds that leave listeners questioning the nature of their reality. He quickly garnered support beyond the WAKAAN crowd and the next year dropped his sophomore album titled Renegades of Light. We enjoy listening to the album while using a kaleidoscope or light projector.

What is beautiful about LSDREAM is not just his story, but the way he continues to create a sense of community through his music. By sharing his journey in transparency with the fans, it creates safe spaces for others struggling to find comfort and support.

Always encouraging the need to take care of our bodies, LSDREAM was given the special opportunity at this year’s Electric Forest to hold a meditation sound bath session under his other alias called LIGHTCODE. Later that night he would play a headlining show as LSDREAM that would simply melt everyone’s mind. Last year he introduced his most recent album Peace Love & Wubz, which saw huge success and was followed up by a tour.

Diament’s talent and heart are what make him stand out from the rest. His dynamic sets are unpredictable and bring people on a rollercoaster of emotions as he effortlessly mixes across genres. This in addition to his love for the scene and the people in it continues to put his name on more festival lineups this year than ever.

An Atlanta gal chasing her love for electronic dance music. I’ve been with Exron since 2018 and have the privilege of contributing to the culture alongside other badass women whom I now call my friends. My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
