Caribbean Festival Mellow Island Calls Carlita, Shimza & More for First Edition

The Mellow Island Music Festival has announced a New Year’s Eve lineup set to light up St. Martin.

The Mellow Island Music Festival will take place from December 29 to January 2 on the popular Caribbean island. The festival has just announced its initial lineup and is set to feature new and seasoned artists like Dan Ghenacia, Serge Devant, Shimza, and Carlita. Each headliner will take the stage at one of the many picturesque venues on the island.

The island of St. Martin has become known for its beautiful beaches and natural scenery which makes it a go-to for vacationers looking for a nonstop party. Ramyen, a French DJ and producer passionate about curating experiences where people connect through music has created a festival intended to connect more people through music.

The music will range from bass and techno to electro and Afro-house. The first day will be headlined by Serge Devant, a NYC DJ known for his electrifying performances around the world. Serge Devant’s deep house and electronic dance tracks have caught the attention of other major artists like Jamie Jones and Damian Lazarus.

The day and night party on New Year’s Eve will feature Shimza, a South African DJ bringing Afro house to the Caribbean for one night. He has performed all across the world including London, Paris, New York, and Ibiza. His signature “Afro-tech” sound has energized dance floors and expanded the possibility of house music.

The 6-day festival will close with sets from Carlita, Villanova B2B Ramyen, and Driss. The venues include Coco Beach, Rainbow Cafe, and Java on the island’s white sand beaches. Java is where attendees will get both the festival experience and remnants of local culture.

Mellow Island is a pop-up party full of opportunities to discover new music on and off the dance floor. Local citizens in St. Martin will receive 40% off tickets for the festival. You can purchase tickets and view the full lineup here

Hi! My name is Destine and I found a love for House and EDM through my time in the NYC dance community. My favorite thing about music is how it brings people together without having to say a word. Some of my favorite artists include Kaytranada, Kelela, Shygirl, and Uncle Waffles.
