santedubois Releases Long-Awaited Tropical Mixtape ‘+2pack’

Los Angeles-based DJ and producer, santedubois, has officially released his 7-track mixtape ‘+2pack’.

Los Angeles DJ and producer, santedubois, has finally put out his first big project, ‘+2pack’. Set on a mission to channel tropical vibes, sante just wanted listeners to cherish the summer a little bit longer. Well, his listeners seem to think he accomplished just that.

As a Mexican/Argentinian kid from Pasadena, sante attributes his influences to artists like Troyboi, Rage Against The Machine, and 50 Cent. At an early age, he remembers discovering artists like Dr.Dre and Santana throughout the late 90s and early 2000s. From living in Pasadena, Boyle Heights, and even South Central, ‘+2pack’ is sante’s way of paying homage to the places he’s lived in. It also symbolizes the experiences and influences he has acquired along the way.

Prior to the mixtape came “Palm Trees”, a future beats banger that pairs breezy synths with hard-hitting bass. Shortly after its release, Brownies & Lemonade premiered the single on ‘Open Aux Arcade,’ and later featured it on the outlet’s ‘Fresh Batch Friday’ Spotify playlist.

Additionally, the seven track mixtape can be the perfect soundtrack to keep you in the summer mood all year-’round. Sante explains, “+2pack tells the global story of finding one’s oasis.” The project as a whole incorporates beautiful and simplistic arrangements while combining breezy synths and infectious loops. The mixtape starts off nice and smooth with “Summer” and “Palm Trees”. Once you reach about halfway through, “3.0” and “Cenote” hit you, and that’s when the music really starts to take off. As you begin to reach the second half you begin to unwind with “Ting” and “Rain Forrest” while feeling the heavy Hispanic influences of “Bailar”.

In summary, ‘+2pack’ offers a glimpse into the story of a kid from LA, and we’re fortunate enough to be able to read it. While ‘+2pack’ continues to make its rounds, sante is currently in the process of creating new music and getting ready for some new releases.
