Was Danica Patrick at Burning Man 2023?

retired racecar driver Danica Patrick said she got “stuck 3 times” while trying to escape burning Man’s Black rock city.

Former NASCAR driver Danica Patrick, along with many other desert attendees, became stuck at this year’s annual Burning Man festival. A series of storms trapped Patrick among the thousands of people in muddy conditions. Heavy weekend rains left 70,000 attendees stranded with flooded roads, and swampy conditions. Several people hitchhiked through the muddy desert to the closest little town in an effort to escape. Many of Danica’s fans and followers were speculating whether she was within the self-built environment that is Black Rock City, and the answer is yes.

Burning Man is an annual arts and music festival that strongly encourages self-reliance and trading goods among the attendees or gifting rather than the exchange of money. They also build a temporary city for the event and ceremoniously burn a giant sculpture of a man to close the week.

Furthermore, in a series of Instagram stories, Patrick spoke about her journey escaping Black Rock City. She said “Made it out. Stuck three times and it took four hours… but on the pavement.” She continued, “The challenge from weather really helped show everyone’s true nature at BM and it was to step up and help each other. It is an alternate reality where everyone gives what they can and no money is exchanged.” “Too bad that couldn’t be our full reality but for now… It’s one magical week in the desert. Or swamp this year.”

After fans confirmed that Patrick made it out safe, they then focused their attention on her Burning Man outfits. The former NASCAR and IndyCar driver wore a bathing suit-like outfit in one photo; a red skirt and red wig in another; a shiny silver jacket and matching silver panties in another; and some serious boots and belt in her last photo.

Lastly, this story is a testament that anybody can both enjoy Burning Man and escape it if need be. For those planning on visiting Black Rock City next year, just remember to expect the unexpected. And don’t forget to pack some extra clothes just in case things get muddy.

My name is Sebastian Medina and I was born and raised in Los Angeles, California. Ever since I could remember, I have always been in love with dance music. I appreciate all genres and sub-genres but I definitely gravitate towards house and techno. Being from LA I was blessed with an amazing nightlife full of different artists coming in and out of town throughout the years. Some of my favorite artists include Seth Troxler, Michael Bibi, Mr.Carmack, PAWSA, and Folamour.
