Sonic Bloom Spotify Pregame Playlist: HoneyBee

HoneyBee is a passionate music producer, visual artist, and DJ forging her own path in the electronic scene by crafting mesmerizing and addictive bass-driven beats. Defining her exact style proves challenging, as her discography touches various musical genres, complemented by surreal imagery that accompanies her audio works and performances.

In 2019, HoneyBee made her breakthrough with her first official single, “Identity Glitch”. In 2021, she unveiled her debut EP, homegirl. The EP has an ethereal yet darker sonic direction that holds unique to her flair. Among the EP’s tracks, the song “wisteria” stood out as a collaborative effort with Yheti, followed by Yheti’s remix of HoneyBee’s track “homegirl.” Recently, she concluded an extensive multi-city tour across the United States as a supporting act for Yheti’s ‘Knew Sound Tour,’ alongside Ternion Sound and Toadface.

In March, HoneyBee launched the third installment of her Hi-Sucrose mixtape series, showcasing a thoughtfully curated selection of her own songs, as well as tracks from artists who have influenced her. Devoted to her craft, HoneyBee is diligently working on new releases, with plans to release her second EP before the year’s end.

With each release, HoneyBee fortifies her portfolio, cementing her position as a versatile artist within the underground music scene. Make sure not to miss HoneyBee’s electrifying set at Sonic Bloom in Rye, Colorado, taking place from June 15 to 18.

An Atlanta gal chasing her love for electronic dance music. I’ve been with Exron since 2018 and have the privilege of contributing to the culture alongside other badass women whom I now call my friends. My introduction to the scene was first influenced by trap music, but my discography has since expanded to touch a bit of everything. Some of my favorite artists are Zeds Dead, Cloonee, Nghtmre, Flume, Infekt, Sosa, Bleu Clair, Subtronics, but the list goes on forever.
