Seismic Spring Makes “Difficult” Decision to Move Indoors Due to Impending Rain Forecast

After possible impending thunderstorms, Seismic Spring decides to take precautions in relocating from outdoors to an indoors venue.

Seismic Spring prepares for potential unforeseen weather electing to shift the festivities to an indoor event space. The Austin-based techno and house festival specializes in the celebration of these music genres for their fan base. Located in Texas’s capital, Austin vibes with rich musical roots and culture. The city is an oasis for “Keeping Austin Weird,” thriving with amazing restaurants, outdoor life, and countless events throughout the year.

Subsequently, last week on May 12th they made an unexpected announcement concerning the festivities. Their twee stated, “Important update, fam! Please read!” With a heavy heart but caring foresight, they called to move the initial outdoor event indoors. Considering the week’s forecast they concluded to, “move the event into The Concourse Project’s main building (inside) with the addition of a second area on the patio (with a covered tent).”

Texas is notorious for its unpredictable forecast changes not only weekly but daily. Wake up, leaving the house with pants, a sweater, and a jacket. Then at the end of the day wish for shorts, a tank top, and flip-flops. Native Texans understand this push and pull with the ever-changing weather patterns we endure yearly. With all this in mind, the proactive actions of Seismic Spring are applaudable, looking out for their patrons.

Late this February they announced the two-day event. On Friday, May 19th the stage will be graced with CoCo Breezy, DJ Hanzel, Oden & Fatzo, a DJ set by Sofi Tukker and non-other than John Summit! Truly an amazing way to kick off the festivities and not to mention special guest Hot Since 82. Then on Saturday continue with Chris Avantgarde, Chris Liebing, Cristoph, Josh Wink, Nicole Moudaber, and Speaker Honey. Concluding the evening with Testpilot.

Despite the unforeseen changes, this will still be an amazing event to experience in the heart of Texas. Their initial tweet explained the “gamble for this organization to proceed to build the alternative site and stage with our fingers crossed.” To avoid having any issues it was the best decision to “move primarily indoors in order to allow this event to take place.”

Nevertheless, these accommodations didn’t slow things down too much. Friday has already sold out with limited tickets for Saturday at the new venue, The Concourse Project. Besides the amazing music, there will also be vendors, official merch booths, and food trucks on the grounds. This will be a weekend to remember with friends and non-stop music to dance the night away.
