Gorgon City’s Realm Red Rocks Show Fights Through Snow, Hail, Lightning, and More

Despite UNFORESEEN circumstances at their red rocks performance, Gorgon City prevailed grappling through a blizzard.

Gorgon City‘s set at Red Rocks battled extraordinary weather conditions and confronted Mother Nature head-on. The London natives have been creating music for over a decade. The dynamic duo released their first single, “The Crypt,” in 2012 followed by, Real EP, in February 2013. Without a doubt, solidified their presence in the years that followed.

The pair was scheduled to perform at Red Rocks Amphitheater on Thursday, April 27th. As the sun set the Denver weather made no exceptions with forecasts of snow and hail. Against all odds, with heavy jackets and full hearts, they still carried on with their set. Subsequently, they took to Twitter the day after to express gratitude for their fans who endured the extremities.

“Red Rocks last night! wow! snowstorms, freezing temps, hail, lightning bolts above the venue,” began their tweet. The outdoor open-air venue has become a staple for musicians and a destination for music enthusiasts. Their tweet continued, “had to be stopped for about half an hour, yet people stayed 🥶🥶🥶.” The amphitheater and park have been open to the public since June 1941, after being purchased by the city of Denver in 1927.

Moreover, many fans had traveled from across the nation to attend the show. “Came from Seattle for this! Stuck it out as long as we could. Had a blast!” commented Dom The Bomb. Another fan stated, “I flew out from LA for this show. Was so cold, we couldn’t last but saw part of it 🙏🙌.” Ramon Jr. showcased a GIF of Jack from The Shinning in his comment, relaying how he felt that night during their show.

All snow and no jacket make Jack a cold boy, which pretty much sums up the concertgoer’s experience that evening. Even though the cold weather was difficult to endure fans were still very ecstatic for their performance. “My whole body hurts from dancing for so many hours in soaking wet jeans shoes and a heavy coat but it was worth it!” tweeted a fan.

In the next few months, Gorgon City has many more tour dates ahead. They will be back in the UK until the end of May. Then Brazil and a handful of U.S. dates in June. Most notably every Monday from June 19th- September 25th they will be at Amnesia. The 15-week run at the legendary nightclub in Ibiza will be another amazing season for the two.
