PURPLE DISCO MACHINE DROPS ITALO DISCO INSPIRED “EXOTICA” FEAT. MIND ENTERPRISES – [LISTEN]

Purple Disco Machine has just released his brand new single “Exotica” featuring Mind Enterprises. The track is out on Positiva Records in conjunction with Sweat It Out and Sony Music Europe.

“Exotica” follows a string of remixes the artist has completed for numerous industry frontrunners, including Diplo, Dua Lipa, Mark Ronson, Foals, Calvin Harris, Fatboy Slim, and Sir Elton John. More recently, the artist has put out popular remixes of Duke Dumont’s “Ocean Drive”, Lady Gaga and Ariana Grande’s sensational hit single “Rain on Me”, and “Trouble’s Coming” by Royal Blood.

Purple Disco Machine has also recently dropped “Hypnotized” with Sophie and the Giants, an indie take on nu disco music. In no time, the elaborate track became the Dresden-born producer’s biggest release to date, racking up 110 million plus streams globally.

Now, with “Exotica”, Purple Disco Machine reveals his versatile production capabilities. By enlisting Italian electro-funk producer Mind Enterprises on vocals, the two foster a captivating electric club record that strategically pays homage to the 80s German and Italian euro disco music that the artist grew up around.

“Exotica” is based on a replayed sample of the 80’s Italo disco classic “Void Vision” by Cyber People. Purple Disco Machine flawlessly develops a high energy hit by employing an infectious beat and a hypnotic melody. Paired with an animated modulated vocal piece, “Exotica” is perfect for the dance floor.

The track is released alongside a striking animated video, doused with vibrant colors, exotic animals, and remote, obscure landscapes. The music video is an accurate visual representation of the title “Exotica” while incorporating iconic 80s imagery as well.

Purple Disco Machine impressively ranks #2 on Beatport’s all-time Top Artists, thanks to his 2013 breakthrough hit “My House”. Since then, he has released countless hits, including “Dished (Male Stripper)” and his remixes of Weiss’ “Feel My Needs” and “Praise You” by Fatboy Slim.

I've been a part of the dance music scene for nearly a decade and with Exron for more than half of that time. My first event was Diplo's Mad Decent but these days you'll find me at Club Space or the Brooklyn Mirage. Some of my top artists are G Jones, Tipper, Of The Trees, and CharlestheFirst. My favorite genres are techno, experimental bass, and ambient but I'll get down to anything with a beat!
