Pasquale Rotella Accidentally Leaks Plans to Bring EDC to Thailand

Following the release of EDC Las Vegas’ 2024 lineup, Pasquale Rotella had revealed that EDC is making its way to Thailand.

The CEO of Insomniac Events had let the announcement slip while participating in the live stream for EDC Las Vegas’ lineup reveal. Rotella had been explaining that the festival transforms the stage designs annually as it travels around the world. As he spoke about kineticFIELD he said, “We’ve been in China, Thailand…Oh!”

He had paused before continuing, “We’re going to Thailand. I’m just going to say it, we’re going to Thailand.” Based on Rotella’s reaction to his words, it seemed he had not meant to announce EDC Thailand at that moment.

Electric Daisy Carnival has become one of the most iconic festivals and continues to expand globally. EDC has taken place in Mexico, Japan, South Korea, China, and Portugal since it debuted in 1997 in Los Angeles. If Rotella’s statements come to fruition, it will be the festival’s first time in Thailand.

In 2023, an estimated 520,000 people attended the event in Las Vegas, which continued its reign as the biggest festival in North America. With two other annual events in Las Vegas and Orlando, it is no surprise that EDC has set its sights on the beautiful country. The festival has already hosted events in Asia with success and solid lineups.

The next EDC is being held in Las Vegas this May. The festival just released its full 2024 lineup and its theme, kineticCIRCLE. The huge event in Vegas will be followed by EDSea and EDC Orlando, which are both in November.

No other details about EDC Thailand have been released, but fans have done some digging and found social media accounts with handles that could be related to the event.
