Drumcode to Drop Massive A-Sides Compilation with 20 New Tracks for 12th Edition

Esteemed Techno Label Drumcode has announced the 12th edition of A-Sides Compilation with 20 new tracks featured in the project.

Christmas has come early for techno lovers as Drumcode announces the release date for A-Sides Compilation’s 12th edition, which is out December 1st. This yearly tradition is highly anticipated by techno fans as it has become a pinnacle of the Drumcode yearly release schedule.

This year, the A-Sides Compilation project features 20 never-before-heard tracks by techno artists around the world. The songs released in the new edition are said to be “future-facing cuts spanning across the breadth of the techno spectrum.”

The inception of A-Sides Compilation was in 2012 and has been a way to showcase techno tracks that have never had official release dates under the label. Each year, talented techno artists send material to Drumcode founder Adam Beyer, but since Drumcode has a very busy release schedule, the high-quality tracks sent to him that never find a home within the label gets placed on this project.

A-sides has become a beloved project that techno fans year after year look forward to hearing as it contains unreleased tracks that have never seen the light of day until their debut on the project.

The songs featured on the project have covered every shade of the techno spectrum and this year looks promising with tracks from artists like Danny Avila, Carl Cox, Hi-Lo, and more.

Since the release of A-sides, it has grown to become an imperial part of the label’s release schedule and a “marker for where the genre stands in any given year.” The 12th edition will be released on Friday, December 1st – head to the link here to pre-order and preview now. My favorite thing in the whole world is music and after hearing "One" by Swedish House Mafia for the first time in 2014, I was hooked on EDM. Dance music has been a large part of who I am and will always be searching for new ways to incorporate it in my life. The pure bliss that I feel from live shows is a feeling I never want to stop chasing (iykyk). Some of my favorite artists are Flume, Rüfüs Du Sol, Mindchatter, Disclosure, Dom Dolla and Fred Again.. :)
