Nora En Pure Releases Stunning New Single Inspired by Electric Forest

Nora En Pure releases “Sherwood Forest,” a new single inspired by electric forest’s natural beauty and immersive scenery.

On June 30, the Swiss-South African queen of deep house, Nora En Pure, released a new single, “Sherwood Forest,” via Enormous Tunes. An apparent ode to the iconic Michigan festival, the song is inspired by Electric Forest’s natural beauty and vibrant scenery. 

Nora En Pure’s release is timed perfectly for those experiencing the post-Electric Forest blues. “Sherwood Forest” is a euphoric gateway for reminiscing on the festival that occurred on June 22-25. Spearheaded by The String Cheese Incident who traditionally perform two sets, this year’s headliners also included Odesza, Lane 8, Zeds Dead, and Rezz. 

Encountering Electric Forest’s enchanting atmosphere for the first time is the essence of Nora En Pure’s “Sherwood Forest.” The track exudes that initial sense of awe by beginning with emotive piano keys and gentle percussion. Simulating the feeling of being immersed in psychedelic detail, she delicately weaves in a hypnotic bassline and bouncy synths. 

Sharing her personal connection to the track, Nora En Pure comments, “The combination of piano and the forest is something I truly adore. It evokes a mystical feeling that transports us into another realm. With the two versions, I wanted to encapsulate that, and offer alternatives for two different settings.”

Originally creating “Sherwood Forest – Club Mix,” Nora En Pure exhibits her range by entering a softer dimension in “Sherwood Forest.” Known for balancing between ethereal and energetic melodies, she similarly curated chill and club versions of her 2022 song “Altered Destiny.”  This year, Nora En Pure’s releases like “Spring Embers” and “Sycamore” allude to the divinity of nature being her muse in 2023. 

For over a decade, the producer has been acclaimed across the globe for her superhuman sound. Recent stateside sets at Brooklyn Mirage, Space Miami, and Daytrip LA were just the beginning of her extensive tour schedule. With upcoming shows at Revelin in Croatia, Pacha Ibiza, Tomorrowland, and more, Nora En Pure will take international dancefloors on a transcendental journey with her single “Sherwood Forest.”
