Sultan + Shepard Share Breathtaking Melodic Album ‘Forever, Now’

Sultan + Shepard continue to prove their melodic musical influence now and forever with their new studio album ‘Forever, Now.’

‘Forever, Now’ is the third album from Sultan + Shepard and highlights what the electronic twosome do best: Melodic beats, ethereal vocals, and beneath it all, a pulse you can dance (and cry, and laugh) to. From emotional features like ‘Elenore’ featuring Andrew Belle to rhythmic explorations like ‘RnR,’ the record has something for everyone and showcases the beautiful range of deep house.

“When we began working on ‘Forever, Now,’ the world had started to open up from the pandemic, we had begun touring again, and it felt like the great thawing of pent-up feelings and emotions were being released from us, and also all over the world,” the duo explained. “Not surprisingly, a lot of the music leaned towards more joyful energy, bursting with positive emotions while most of the lyrics and vocals we had recorded with our collaborators were asking deeper questions about longing, separation, and time passing.”

‘Losing Ground’ featuring Tishmal, ‘Making Time’ featuring Julia Church, ‘Neptune,’ and ‘Zima’ featuring Delhia De France serve as the lead singles on the record. While all four tracks (along with the rest of the album) stay true to Sultan + Shepard’s style, they also show off a more elevated and sophisticated sound from the two.

“The concept of ‘Forever, Now’ grew out of this familiar feeling of being grounded in a place of creativity despite being in new places sonically or physically,” Sultan + Shepard said. “Things were always moving and changing, as we ourselves were too. But through the act of being sincere in expressing our emotions, a sense of being in just the right place or hitting just the right note would often arise.”

The sonic chemistry within Sultan + Shepard is palpable and feels established, which is fitting considering Ossama Al Sarraf and Ned Shepard have been collaborating since 2002. After meeting in an after-hours club in Montreal over two decades ago, the two have worked together on original songs and remixes, joined forces with EDM legends like Dillon Francis and Tiësto, and spun remixes for pop superstars such as Coldplay, Lady Gaga, and Madonna.

No stranger to tour life, Sultan + Shepard have played major festivals like Tomorrowland, Ultra, and EDC. Now, the duo is hitting the road again to bring the magic of ‘Forever, Now’ to fans in real life. The 20+ date North American tour began in Dallas on February 17 and will stop in other major cities including Chicago, Toronto, LA, New York, and more before ending in Miami on May 6.
