SVDDEN DEATH Shares Threatening Message From Christian Social Media Critic

Everyone’s a critic! Dubstep artist and producer, Svdden Death, has faced Threats from a Christian social media user.

Dubstep artist and producer, Svdden Death, aka Danny Howland, received a threatening DM from a Christian Instagram user on Easter Sunday. The artist has shared the screenshots with his fan base. The artist shared the concerning DMs via Twitter, stating, “This person straight up got back from Easter Sunday service and said this.”

Svdden Death continued to say, “Christian values are not represented by fear, death, and division. They are upheld by goodness which I don’t see from a lot of people that claim them.” It is important to note that despite his darker image Svdden Death is highly philanthropic and no stranger to loving thy neighbor. He also has a house music alter ego, Deadroom, and a successful ongoing tour with Marshmello.

Svdden Death’s philanthropy over the years should not go unnoticed as he has donated thousands of money to various charities and resource groups. In the wake of the Hawaii Fires in 2023, he canceled his shows out of respect for the survivors and victims. In addition, he donated $10k to those affected by the destructive fires.

Ahead of his 2022 Caverns Festival, “The Eclipse at The Caverns,” he let it be known that he was donating a portion of the sales to Recovery Soldiers Ministries. Recovery Soldiers Ministries is a local faith-based charity that helps veterans heal from the disease of addiction and reenter society. Svdden Death made over $23k in donations to the Tennesee mission.

In 2020, when fires ravaged Australia, the artist gave away one unreleased ID to a lucky fan who could prove they had at least 10 dollars to the Australian Firefighters and the ongoing relief effort.

In 2021, his first release of the year, the proceeds from the song, “SLB,” were donated to ocean conservation efforts. Danny Howland is one of the more charitable artists of today despite his intimidating look and sound. It is incorrect to judge an artist by their look or a book by their cover and Svdden Death proves that time and time again.

Hey! I'm Shiv! Music is the greatest part of my life, I remember discovering dubstep when I was 15/16 and my entire life was altered - robot noises?? I needed MORE! Now, I live in NYC and have seen over 60 artists of all genres; my favorites being Odesza, Subtronics, Rezz, Griz, Zeds Dead, John Summit and Kaskade. I am an enjoyer of music and will try everything once, I do not discriminate - there is beauty in all genres (minus country). You can usually find me in a warehouse at 4AM because I am nocturnal and will quite literally never say no to a show.

What's your reaction?
