Porter Robinson has announced his next album is “done.” While Porter Robinson has released plenty of music over the years, his albums are few and far between. The announcement has quickly led fans to speculate what style of music the album will be. 

Porter Robinson’s album ‘Worlds’ in 2014 brought an immersive range of extensive soundscapes. His electronic vocals and vibrating tempos have distinctly defined his level of artistry. The North Carolina native has addressed his struggles in life through music exploration and has found a manner of potent self-expression, galvanizing volumes of resonating fans.

In 2021, Porter Robinson released ‘Nurture,’ which revealed a brighter and lighter side of the artist’s oeuvre. Taking on a more ambient approach to his musical style, Robinson had leaned into instrumentals as a central element of the 2021 album. His creative mobility has created chatter about which vein Porter Robinson will likely follow, which will likely result in an even deeper anticipation. 

The artist has also released music under the alias Virtual Self which in its own right has saturated the EDM scene. He has played at the world’s biggest festivals like Coachella, Tomorrowland, Lollapalooza, and many more. He has successfully and uniquely distinguished himself as an artist of his own kind.

With Robinson’s announcement, he has signaled to fans that a new creative masterpiece is on the way. While fans speculate on the genre and style, the consensus is true excitement. Porter Robinson has again ignited the EDM world with his promises and now there is only time between fans and the actual release.
