Mikey Lion’s son has started his DJ career on the earlier side.

Mikey Lion has begun to teach his 18-month-old son to DJ, and the young boy is already showing glimpses of what could be a generational talent. In the video (seen below), the son confidently works the decks – clearly, Mikey Lion has done well in showing him the ropes. Dancing and grooving, this 18-month-old has shown he has what it takes.

What makes Mikey Lion such an apt professor of groovy beats is not just his technical ability, but also his deeply-seated love for music. Lion had experimented with music at an early age, but his world had burst open after attending Coachella at seventeen. Seeing a seminal Daft Punk performance has sculpted his sense of artistry today.

The San Diego native has also risen in his career by putting together a festival and record label. In 2012, Mikey Lion and his crew had brought people together for a rather intimate show in the Mojave Desert. Tapping into a love for music and nature, the festival has grown massively into what it is today – Desert Hearts.

His record label, Desert Heart Records, hosts a wide variety of talented artists. Mirroring his entrenched appreciation for house music, the record label has promoted artists such as Alex Kennon, Andre Salmon, Bengal, and more.

The label has circulated elements such as techno, house, hip-hop, tribal, and psychedelic. By himself and with others, Mikey Lion has curated a track record of pulsating and smooth beats. Always capable, Lion has galvanized crowds at festivals like Coachella, Burning Man, and Lighting in A Bottle

It won’t be long until Mikey Lion’s son has gathered thousands of people for the sweet vibrations of house music. Lion has set his priorities straight, as he gets the 18-month-old performance-ready. Despite the precious talent of the young boy, crowds must wait for the Lion offspring to spin the decks for real on stage.
