Inside the 2024 Grammy Awards Winners of the Dance/Electronic Category

Skrillex, Fred Again…, Kylie Minogue, and more cliched top honors in the Dance/Electronic categories at the 2024 Grammy Awards.

The 2024 Grammy Awards on Sunday night brought together the crème de la crème of the music industry, and the Dance/Electronic categories were no exception. The annual extravaganza in the music industry has become a cultural phenomenon and a pinnacle of recognition for the artists and their creative work.

The coveted award for Best Dance/Electronic Recording went to the well-deserving trio Skillrex, Fred Again…, and Flowdan for their global dance banger “Rumble.” The trailblazing collaboration between the three super talents beat other nominees in the same category including Aphex Twin’s “Blackbox Life Recorder 21F,” James Blake’s “Loading,” Disclosure‘s “Higher Than Ever Before” and Fred Again.. and Romy’s “Strong.”

With this being his ninth Grammy win, Skrillex accepted the award alone at the Crypto.com Arena, praising Fred Again… and Flowdan, whom he calls his “best friends” and expressing his heartfelt gratitude. Further dishing out a piece of inspiring advice for anyone who makes music, he said, “Success is something you attract, not something that you try to chase or catch.”

In the Best Dance/ Electronic Album category, Fred Again… secured another Grammy Award for his captivating third studio album, “Actual Life 3 (January 1- September 9, 2022).” Edging out other nominees including James Blake’s ‘Playing Robots Into Heaven,’ The Chemical Brothers ‘For That Beautiful Feeling,’ Skrillex’s ‘Quest for Fire,’ and deadmau5 and Kaskade’s ‘Kx5.’

In another noteworthy category, Kylie Minogue bagged the Best Pop Dance Recording for the track “Padam Padam” to triumph over other contenders in the same category. They include fierce competitors like Bebe Rexha and David Guetta’s “One in a Million,” Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding’s “Miracle,” Troye Sivan’s “Rush” and David Guetta, Anne-Marie and Coi Leray’s “Baby Don’t Hurt Me.”
