The String Cheese Incident ‘Not Invited’ Back to Dillon Amphitheater in Colorado After 2023 Appearance

The String Cheese Incident has announced they will not be returning to the Dillon Amphitheater.

The String Cheese Incident has not been invited back to Dillon Amphitheater in Colorado after their 2023 appearance. Dillon Amphitheater, on the north shore of the Dillon Reservoir in Colorado, hosted the band in 2023 but has declined readmittance for The String Cheese Incident. Naturally, the decision has spurred a bout of disappointment among their Dillon fans.

In 2023, The String Cheese Incident performed under a blue sky abutting the reservoir water. They had corralled troves of concert-goers with their neo-psychedelia rock, as seldom clouds rolled overhead. The picturesque venue naturally matched with The String Cheese Incident’s music.

The String Cheese Incident Red Rocks

With an elevated performance the year before, it came with a surprise when the band had announced the news. They expressed their disappointment and sorrow that the magic wouldn’t be recreated in 2024. The band members had echoed the wants of their fans, as they said “despite our best efforts,” they wouldn’t be returning.

However, in better news for Colorado, The String Cheese Incident had reminded their fans of impending sets at Red Rocks, another famed Colorado amphitheater. For three nights, they have geared for some magical performances. Undoubtedly, their acoustics will ring sweetly at the venerable venue.

The String Cheese Incident

The String Cheese Incident have been playing for nearly three decades – a respectable stint of music-playing years. Some of their top songs include: “Sirens,” “This Must Be the Place,” “Get Tight,” and “Rosie.” Moreover, they’ve graced stages at festivals like Bonnaroo and Electric Forest. At Electric Forest in 2015, The String Cheese Incident had invited Skrillex to jam with them on stage.

The eccentric and unique band has made a name for themselves by their own nature as well as the music they produce. Their status in the field is what makes their absence at Dillon Amphitheater more felt. Hopefully moving forward, The String Cheese Incident will have figured out a way to return.

Like many others, I often dive into a variety of music genres and explore, as best I can, what resonates while I listen. For me, EDM is a dense subset of music with unique artistry and textured sounds - a facet of melody and tune that I will always investigate.
