Deadbeats and Brownies & Lemonade Define US Drum & Bass Revolution With 15-Track Album

Bass music figureheads Zeds Dead and event series Brownies & Lemonade have teamed up on a drum & bass compilation album that showcases America’s d&B culture.

Zeds Dead’s Deadbeats imprint has partnered with event series Brownies & Lemonade for a 15-track compilation album highlighting America’s blossoming drum & bass culture. Tracks from artists like Zeds Dead, STS9, and Audioscribe offer a journey through the contemporary soundscape of D&B.

Zeds Dead has been a staple in dubstep since 2009 and continues to champion global bass music with their Deadbeats imprint. Formed in 2016, the imprint is committed to the underground and its impact on the music scene. The imprints roster reflects this with artists like SHADES, Dion Timmer, VCTRE, and IMANU.

Brownies & Lemonade was founded in Los Angeles in 2012 and has since grown into a global brand. Throwing cutting-edge events that celebrate established stars and the next generation of electronic musicians. With features from culture titans like Chase & Status, Sub Focus, and Wilkinson, B&L has become one of the most impactful showcases for drum & bass.

2.5 years ago, Deadbeats and Brownies & Lemonade started the curating and crafting process for their final compilation album, “Deadbeats + DNBNL Present: D&B.” Set to release on January 26th, 2024, this compilation will showcase unique facets of the drum and bass genre.

The album’s impressive lineup features artists who have been making waves in the ever-evolving world of electronic music. From a standout collaboration between Zeds Dead and REAPER on the track ‘Back Bus’ to the drum & bass rendition of STS9’s fan-favorite track ‘New Dawn, New Day,’ the compilation shows the diversity of styles within the scene. The compilation also features tracks like ‘What I Need’ by Friction, ‘It’s Your Destiny’ by AEON:MODE, and ‘Flow’ by Audioscribe.

‘Deadbeats + DNBNL Present: D&B’ is a compilation album that has been curated by figures of the bass community.
