Solomun Refuses to Stop Performing in Tulum After 9-Hour Set

Having already played from dusk to dawn, Solomun shrugs off Tehmplo Tulum crew when asked to stop.

Bosnian DJ and producer Solomun has left his mark with EDM haven Tulum. For his first time back in the jungle after four years, Solomun brought his melodic beats back to the dancefloor with a nine-hour set, lasting from dusk to dawn. After he had played the early morning away, he showed no signs of stopping, even when asked to hop off the decks.

Solomun has built himself quite the career these past two decades. Having founded his record label, Diynamic, in 2005, he has subtly grown his reach over the electronic music world. Starting with his own productions, he eventually brought on artists like Adriatique and Dubfire.

Outside of his label, Solomun has furthered his love for house and underground electronic music in the European club heaven, Ibiza. Starting with his party Solomun +1 at the notorious Pacha in 2016, he has developed it into one of Ibiza’s longest-standing parties. Inviting guest DJs such as Four Tet, Chloé, and Jamie XX, Solomun has stapled himself as a must-see in the club circuit.

Outside his record label and Ibiza residency, Solomun’s reputation precedes him. Known as “el Rey,” or “the king,” in Tulum, Solomun’s return to the jungle dance floor was a long time coming. For his first performance back, he played at one of Tulum’s new cutting-edge venues, Tehmplo Tulum.

Solomun Tulum

Taking the stage late at night, Solomun returned to the jungles of Tulum with a gigantic nine-hour set. After having the crowd dancing well through sunrise, you can see in a Tiktok video that someone from the Tehmplo crew tried to tell Solomun it was time to wrap his set up. In true king fashion, he shrugs them off and turns the music back up, continuing the party.

After his long-awaited return to the jungles of Tulum, Solomun had no intentions of stopping his welcome back, even per the crew’s request. Having created an internationally known name for himself with his record label, Ibiza residency, and melodic sets, it was only correct that Solomun gave what the crowd was looking for.
